Women’s Rugby are Club of the Year 2010-2011

Picture this – Barker House Farm on a summer afternoon with over 250 sportsmen and women and guests looking the bees knees dressed in their finery. Many of them nervously waiting for that moment when for 2 minutes the whole room will be applauding their achievements from the past year.

The next hour and a half saw most of these students make their way to the platform to receive a trophy/medal culminating in

American Football Club being awarded the VP Sports Award

Women’s Rugby Club the Club of the Year

Besides this the winning college teams for Football, Netball, Darts, Dominoes and Pool and the Carter Shield trophies were meted out with Fylde once again winning the Carter Shield itself.

After the current VP Sport and VP Activities elect, Marc Handley,had delivered a stirring and emotional speech everyone celebrated with a buffet.
